Running more than one server?

A proxy puts one address in front of several servers. Players connect to it once and can be moved between your servers without reconnecting, sharing a single player list.

Every Minecraft server here runs on dedicated machines we rent whole, so nothing of yours sits on shared cloud hardware. World saves, chunk loading and restarts run off NVMe storage, which is what you feel most in a modded world.

Switch between vanilla, Paper, Forge, Fabric and NeoForge from the dashboard whenever you like, install mods and modpacks from a browser rather than an FTP client, and roll a world back from a backup if an update goes badly. Nothing here needs you to edit a config file by hand, though the file editor and SFTP are there when you want to.

Sizing

How much RAM does a Minecraft server need?

PlayersBest forServer
Up to 5Vanilla or Paper survival with a small group and a modest world border.Tadpole€9.00/mo
5 to 15Paper with plugins, or a light modpack of roughly 50 to 80 mods.Puffer Fish€13.00/mo
15 to 30Mid-size modpacks such as Create or All the Mods, and busy plugin servers.Turtle€18.00/mo
30 and upLarge modpacks, pregenerated worlds, or a server behind a proxy network.—

Modpacks are more resource-hungry than player count suggests. If you are running one, size on the pack's own recommendation and treat the player column as secondary.

Included

What every Minecraft server comes with

Mods and modpacks in one click

Browse Forge, Fabric and NeoForge mods from the dashboard, with install counts and categories, and install without touching SFTP. Switching loader keeps your world in place.

An address worth sharing

Every server gets a free subdomain on our domain, and you choose the name. Point a domain you already own at it with the custom domain add-on.

Proxy networks

Put a proxy in front of several servers so players move between them without disconnecting. Order two or more servers at once and the entry proxy comes free.

Backups

Automatic backups run on a schedule, and restoring one is how you swap worlds or undo a bad update. Take a manual backup before any risky change.

Restarts on a schedule

Pick a time of day or an interval and the server restarts itself, telling players in chat first on the games where we can reach a console. Anything written to the server since its last boot, mod updates included, is picked up on the way back up.

Getting started

Setting up your Minecraft server

  1. 1

    Pick a Minecraft server

Choose a tier from the list above. Sizing is about memory and player count, and you can move to another tier later without losing your world.

  2. 2

    Configure it

Set the Minecraft version, pick an address for your server, and choose a billing cycle. Everything here can be changed afterwards.

  3. 3

    Play

The server is built and running within a couple of minutes of checkout. Your address, console, files and backups are waiting in the dashboard.
